‘Railfanning In Southern Ontario’ DVD

Our first DVD is available, in digital mpeg format with a standard size of 720 x 480 pixels.  It features more than 60 minutes of GO Transit (3 clips), VIA Rail (2 clips), Canadian National (10 clips), Canadian Pacific (4 clips) and Norfolk Southern (2 clips).

Locations include:
- Hamilton's Bayview Junction, where a third track will be in place by 2007,
- the main east/west CN corridor between Toronto & Windsor that climbs the Niagara Escarpment over Dundas (with full-length trains),
- the Powerline Rd. crossing west of Brantford where CN and VIA trains pass at speed (with full-length trains),
- Milepost 0 at Fort Erie where Norfolk Southern trains cross the International Railway Bridge into the United States,
- the Woodstock area (the diamond at CN Carew and CP's mainline through Zorra Township).

An added bonus are two vintage (1970's) video clips converted from 8mm films:
 - Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo's Consolidation #103 being moved from Gage Park in Hamilton to the Westfield Heritage Village and display (1:12);
-  a short clip (:27) of Ontario Northland's 'Northlander' passenger train with an original TEE locomotive (#1900) waiting in the North Bay yard.  Although these two clips are slightly faded and have no sound the subjects are very clear and unmistakeable.

No narration, but each clip does include a brief description at the start with the date, location and subject.
